Am 1.-4. August wird das Cyborx-Festival in der Shedhalle Tübingen stattfinden! Es handelt sich um ein Kunst- und Kulturfestival: das heißt, es gibt eine bunte Kunstausstellung, Performances, Filmvorführungen, Workshops, Vorträge, Kinderbetreuung, einige musikalische Live Acts und noch ganz viel mehr.
Das Festival wird der Kulturszene mehr Queerness einhauchen! Platz schaffen für Körper, Glitches, Fremdes und Vertrautes!

On August 1st-4th, the Cyborx Festival will take place in the Shedhalle Tübingen! There will be an art exhibit with a colorful collection of art, performances, movie screenings, workshops and talks, childcare and lots more!
We want to sow more queer seeds in culture's landscape, create a space for bodies, glitches, the alien and the intimate!

Über
Prothesen, Rollstühle, Medikamente, Stimming Toys und vieles mehr - Körper von behinderten Menschen sind häufig auf eine intime Art und Weise mit diversen Technologien verwoben. Viele behinderte Forscher_innen haben zu der Cyborgfigur eher ein ambivalentes Verhältnis und weisen darauf hin, dass Gesundheitstechnologien von der materiellen und ökonomischen Lebensrealität nicht zu trennen sind. In diesem Workshop werden wir zusammen darüber spekulieren, wie wir die Fäden in dem Cyborgmythos neu verbinden könnten.
Für die Teilnahme am Workshop sind keine Vorkenntnisse erforderlich. Der Workshop wird auf Deutsch gehalten.
„Disabled people were the first cyborgs“
prostheses, wheelchairs, medication, stimming toys and more - disabled people’s bodies are often intimately interwoven with various technologies. many disabled researchers have an ambivalent relationship to the cyborg figure and point out the inseparability of health technologies from material and economical lived reality. In this workshop, we will speculate how to possibly reconnect the threads in the cyborg myth.
no prior knowledge is required to participate in the workshop. it will be held in german.
